Cons
Selling leads is an ugly task as most were incentivized - meaning a prospect may have been signing up to win a prize and then their information is sold as a life insurance lead (ex.) because they may have clicked on one of a dozen or more offers for information as part of the registration process. Very difficult to turn these incetivized leads into sales. Frequent poor feedback from the brokers and agent we sold leads to forced my to find other work. The leads are just one step better than calling out of the phone book and are not the "hot" prospects that are pitched. The owner is trying to generate more leads directly rather than through incentivization - so there could be a quality improvement over time.
