Pros

The only positives I can think of are some of the other ‘disposable scum’ as seen by higher management that I met and work aside. As well as the Lovely scenery around the location.

Cons

Management have no respect or empathy for those who work beneath them. Management are disorganised and self centred. Broughtons moto is to give opportunities to fresh face university students and work them into the ground till their two year cycle is up and then they replace them. This company is the smallest I’ve ever worked for and therefore tight gangs are formed in management and this is evident to all who work in this toxic environment.

Pros

- Excellent team moral, friendly and helpful - Great placement year to acquire analytical and practical skills - Although it's a placement year, you are treated like every other employee - Training for first 2 months of placements are invaluable to get up to standard with other chemists - You have the opportunity to train a number of standard operating procedures and perform tests under GMP regulations - You practice ALCOA data integrity routinely on a day-to-day basis

Cons

- Work load can be quite stressful depending on demand throughout the year - Occasionally had to work over-time - Hard to get experience/exposure with other departments
