Very top heavy, management get huge bonuses and mistreat employees with no consequences. Managers don't have proper skill set. No job security and employee advocacy. Everyone is worried about stepping on the toes of upper management so there is no one fighting for the little people. It's all about who you know to get ahead. Management let's personal issues get in the way of a properly functioning dept.

Board of Commissioners assigned by state governor results in cronyism, putting it nicely, and fiscal mismanagement that is inexcusable. OIG investigation landed them a huge fine and 5 year Corporate Integrity Agreement which they seem to have learned little or nothing from. Lack of reinvestment into the system for personal gain for the some has robbed the system of needed infrastructure making it almost impossible to do your job, and assuredly to do it well. Many good clinicians and non-clinical "worker bees" trying to do their best but without infrastructure, they often function like salmon swimming up stream. Lack of infrastructure does not permit best care. Hospital leadership as misguided. Many employed physicians with far bigger egos than clinical abilities.
