Pros

This past week the owner of Brystra Insurance forwarded an email to all employees (full and part time) letting us know that we were more important to him than the business itself. This came a week after the whole company adjusted to working remotely from everyone's homes, and the company offices were vacated. The email included ways in which the owner would help all employees in this difficult COVID-19 time, as we all now work from home. The email offered access to access to a employee access program offering emotional, personal, and legal help (on a 100% confidential basis); enrollment in TeleMed 24/7 medical services; the purchase of a basic Kindle and up to 2 books per month to help keep us sane as we are home-bound; up to $100 per month for home fitness equipment or online classes to help keep physical activity going; the monthly cost of basic Netflix; one free Blue Apron meal; and one meal delivery ($25 max) per month. The last paragraph of the email read: "If you need anything let me know, I'll do my best to help. I care more about you than the business and want to make sure you and your loved ones are being taken care of as we all get through this." In short I am proud to work for a company, who's owner cares about his employees, especially in this time when so we hear about so many businesses that are not looking out for their employees.
