Unethical and lack of morals!

Pros

Benefits package Work from home one day a week Unlimited PTO

Cons

BryterCX has no ethics or morals when it comes to employees. Layoff of 25 employees on a virtual "black mirror" meeting is unethical, especially since several of those employees were key players in the company. BryterCX has an extremely high turnover rate, and now I know why. They accept mediocre work and pay highly for those employees, but employees who have a "voice" are let go. If you question the direction of the company, you will quickly be ostracized. HR has no moral compass and consistently discusses personal/confidential information of employees with others in the organization that violates confidential guidelines/morals. Three CEOs within 18 months is a tell-tale sign that the company has no clue in what they are doing, especially since the company has been in business for 17 years.

Pros

- Unlimited vacation - People are friendly - Compensation and benefits package is competitive

Cons

- Recently laid off 1/3 of the company including many long-time and original employees - New product push has failed - New ideas are rare and frowned upon, company only cares about repeating the same 2-3 use cases over and over again which gets monotonous - No bonuses paid for several years - 3rd CEO in 18 months - All senior leaders and founding members have quickly left over the last 2 years - Recently bought by Arrowroot Capital who only cares about gutting and flipping the company for a quick profit - Likely to be sold to a competitor which will result in more massive layoffs - No advancement opportunities above my current level

Pros

Lots of the people who work here mean well and are very nice

Cons

There are many issues with working at ClickFox. The most glaring is the incompetent CEO who is only seeking a higher valuation and is completely out of touch with what is going on at the company. He is barely ever at the office and in fact lives in NYC. That is mindblowing seeing as this is basically an 11 year old startup (paid once a month) minus the good snacks and food that most startups tout. It is not just his lack of presence but the fact that when he does show up he berates the company and spouts a bunch of lies and exaggerations. He is very unwilling to blame himself for any issues or take ownership over anything. The rest of the people in leadership positions seemed to have gained them solely on the fact that they have been at the company for so long. Lot's of people have been here since the beginning and this gives them a skewed view of the product and company. So the management is faulty and this causes problems as the leadership has extremely poor communication across different groups, there is lots of finger pointing etc. The company also comes across as sleezy at times, they will promise bonuses for months and then fail to pay them out with little explanation. There is barely any transparency and it feels like the CEO is basically an emperor. They cut corners any chance they can and it will catch up to them eventually. This comes across as a harsh review but it is not an exaggeration. Many people feel comfortable at first but soon learn the incompetence of many people working here (which starts directly from the top). I would recommend exploring many options alongside ClickFox and asking the tough questions during the interview, you will be glad you did. The dev ops/product team is solid and has a bunch of bright people working for them but they are constrained in resources and transparency from other groups. Be wary of the business services group in ClickFox as many people I have talked to in that group have emphasized it is not a traditional consulting role as a review a few steps back explains. Doesn't seem as though many of the skills they learn are useful outside of ClickFox (many are specific to using the product) and they spend most of their time dealing with product issues and doing copy and paste busy work. There are good people across the company it is just tough to work within this company. Just be wary and do your homework before accepting a job here.
