Modern equipment; Elogs; Competitive Pay; Real home time (I have found you can run as hard as you want with this company, but the average driver in my terminal makes it home daily, if you are out you are out maybe two or three nights in the week, bottom line we are a regional company and this is trucking); If you do have to stay on the road you stay in a hotel at company expense and the company pays for dinner up to $15.00 each day you spend out overnight; Weekly direct deposit; Excellent Benefits (medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, Lifelock, and life insurance); Smart Drive onboard camera system; Continuous training opportunities; and the availability to join the team as a four day on and four day off driver.
Cons
Bulkmatic Transport is a large organization so issues will vary from terminal to terminal. The majority of my experience is with the terminal in Hopkinsville, KY. We move numerous commodities out of this terminal and our biggest commodity is grain products. Unfortunately when dealing in food you are going to have slow periods and this will affect your earnings. Most of the year we stay busy but we do have our slow season.
