Pros
- Located on first ave near many other interesting things - Some interesting client work - Some room for developing your skills in the early stages of your career
Cons
This agency thrives on only hiring young, naive people and then removing any sense of joy and team culture from them. Management has made it a long-time habit of not listening to the suggestions made by staff during reviews, and will and has used information disclosed during these meetings against employees. Ownership only cares about two things: money and feeling like a big man. In reality, they are an insecure person who uses intimidation and emotional manipulation to get what they want from their overworked staff. They will take on questionable clients with nefarious intentions and then refuse to listen when employees voice concerns about doing work for these clients. The word "ethics" has never been considered when dealing with client and/or employee relations. This agency wants you to think that they're doing big things and being "disruptors" in the industry. In reality, they're just a rag-tag team of burnt out employees being managed by an unchecked "leader" and a handful of loyal lap dog employees. The board is made up of yes-men who do little to protect the employees from the whims of ownership. The parallels between this company's leadership and some of the most notable cult leaders in history are extensive and upsetting. They actively try to make people feel isolated and make them think that the only important thing happening at any given moment is whatever leadership feels like. I had never known what a panic attack felt like until I started working for this company. I now know that during my time there, I was being manipulated almost the entire time, but as someone who was mostly in the beginning of their career, you don't look for the red flags. Now, after having left the company, I can thankfully see those flags in people or potential employers from a mile away. I guess that's one good thing that came out of this experience. All in all, this is not a place I would suggest people work regardless of their skills, stage of career, or anything else. I'm legitimately surprised that this agency still exists, but then I remember that there are new, fresh-faced, easily manipulated-graduates who are wanting to get into the agency life all the time so it makes sense. TL:DR - - Constantly moving goal posts - Generally poor company culture - Office space is cramped - Micromanagement across all departments - Toxic motivation methods - A "work hard, play hard" BS mentality - Almost no upward movement - Constantly overloaded with client work, but repeatedly getting told, "you gotta have work/life balance" - Toxic leadership - Oftentimes treated/talked to like children
