      Pros

      Remote first company that's great to work for. Culture forward at all times, it was one of the main things that drew me to the company based on questions I asked in my interview. A lot of staff benefit. Not perfect but the imperfections are known and actively worked on. Coming in from a big corporate to BSI was a great move.

      Cons

      Nothing much outside of the normal nature of consulting work. Company size can limit the career opportunities but if you can find yourself a gap they are there for the taking, it is what you make of it.

      Pros

      Management demonstrates genuine concern for employee well-being. The annual corporate retreat provides valuable in-person interaction and strengthens connections across a fully remote workforce. The company feels forward-thinking and open to new ideas, such as exploring four-day work weeks and integrating AI into processes.

      Cons

      Workload expectations can at times be excessive, leading to a sense of being overworked. High billable hour requirements (around 80%) place significant pressure on staff and can feel restrictive. Limited support when transitioning between business units, with insufficient time to become familiar with new clients’ ecosystems before being assigned to projects. Disjointed internal systems, with multiple ticketing and timekeeping platforms that can be overwhelming. Feast or famine cycles are not always well managed; more structured opportunities for skills development during quieter periods would be valuable.

      Forward thinking and positive company culture

      Pros

      During my time at BSI, I've always felt supported by my peers and team leads. The business has it's busy cycles, but even between the peaks and valleys, management has always been considerate of my work; providing feedback on my performance; and giving ample opportunities to grow my skillsets where I want to go.
