Suffered extreme traumatic shock due to a violent crime/homicide committed against my family. Upon telling them of my situation, I was singled out, verbally threatened with termination, and given inconsistent and oftentimes confusing advice which in hindsight indicated that their management was both constantly scrutinizing my every move, but also setting the bar beyond my reach such that they could eventually justify terminating my employment.
While I did begin improving my performance above what they had initially set as my target, I was pulled into a meeting room in the middle of the day, about 2 months into my employment and informed I was to be terminated. Having kept a lid on my emotional distress for the duration of my employment, I was humiliated when they walked me back to my desk (in an open office setting) and made to explain to my co-workers with tears running down my face what had just happened. They all were very shocked and I could tell immediately that they found management's decision highly troubling.
This company is run by people who despise any notion of emotional self preservation at the expense of their profit margins. Their product is a mess too, and I hope that the sociopath managers get terminated by their new parent company. I still suffer emotionally from this whole debacle, and on top of that lost my health insurance.
