Good option if you are looking for a safe position and not too much responsibility
Pros
Stable environment Sufficient time for onboarding Two corporates (Telekom, Orange) behind with some (limited) options to move within corporate(s) Friendly coworkers
Cons
Limited or no decision power (up to middle management) - any decision is political, not economical. VERY limited career opportunities (imagine the company consists almost only of startegic sourcers). The only development opportunity for few hundred people is to become a team leader or manager - the amount of such vacancies is very limited though and usually already "reserved". Depending on the team/category: employees skills do not match the tasks and scope of responsibilities (over-qualified experts perform administrative tasks with no decision-power; low and no-performers keep their jobs because, causing cost to the company) Middle and higher management driven by career, corporate politics and their ego (call ma naive when I tell I believe this should be different...) - decisions are made to fit the preferences of the manager above rather than being aligned with a realistic business case or well-done research No official home office rule - in practice possible as exception but normally requires an approval Long working hours taken as standard
