Pros

The mission of CASA- advocating for and mentoring for children in foster care- is what first interested me in working at CASA. Working alongside volunteers who are so dedicated and committed to the children we serve is inspiring to see everyday. The environment overall within the agency is very positive and supportive, and generous vacation time is another benefit.

Cons

Being a non profit, the pay is not great, but the agency makes up for it in other ways like paid leave, flexible work schedules, staff celebrations and employees recognition.

Pros

Noble mission. Great central location in lower Queen Anne. Nice staff (Management needs work...See the note in the next section below.)

Cons

The office culture is toxic and depressing and it all starts with the leadership. Speaking up is discouraged and will lead to termination. The CEO, "MP" lacks vision and leadership. The senior managements' lack of compassion and its abhorrent treatment of their employees is appalling. Clueless and directionless. The compensation is way below market even for a non profit. Absolutely no room for growth.
