All the typical cons of DoD contracting (re-competes, rampant incompetence, politics & red-tape) plus the added negative of emotionally unstable project management (who was already incompetent to begin with) that cannot handle the current COVID pandemic and has begun to mandate that all employees “go back to normal”(?) as if we aren’t still in the middle of a global pandemic.
The justification?
‘We’re paying for this office so we are going to use it’.
Even the ‘DoD civilians’ that we were told were ‘mandating’ this untimely return to the general working population have stated that they are not going anywhere- further damaging our trust in our leadership.
The above circumstances have seen the departure of all but one of our other senior engineers who have moved on to 100% remote positions... there’s simply no more argument for us to remain where we are at and I simply won’t put my safety and the others around me at risk because leadership refuses to put others before themselves and their own selfish, controlling desires.
