Pros

Some of the best relationships that I have built have been at this company. There are incredibly talented, intelligent, and genuine people that work here. They will continually support you and provide relief to the daily painful grind that you are subjected to during your employment here.

Cons

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.” I would liken it to 'the winter of despair.' If you are a sucker for punishment, constant criticism, paranoia, and enjoy tolerating toddler-like temper tantrums–than this company is a perfect fit for you. Don't drink the Kool-Aid.

Your Worst Nightmare

Pros

You get to go home every day. You can laugh at how insane the place is with other employees behind executive members' backs. Your friends will really get a kick out of you working for a cult. You will receive some money. You'll get a firsthand account of how not to run a company

Cons

Horrendous leadership, directionless, not profitable. The company is constantly losing money. They want you to eat, dress and speak in a certain way. There is no room for creativity. You must do as you're told or get out. Ironically, they say that they inspire creativity and welcome transparent criticism. This is a lie. I saw employee after employee lose their job for not drinking the Kool aid. The exec team holds meetings every day where nothing gets done. You will be driven crazy by the amount of work you do that never gets used. The people in leadership don't actually understand how social media or marketing work but they believe they're experts and constantly make fun of other more successful companies and marketers. The events you'll have to sit through are an intolerable bragfest where leaderships spews lies about how the company operates and how well it's performing. The only people who can last at this company are the overpaid exec members who endure the torture and keep their mouths shut because the money's worth it.

Pros

Company is located in Austin, Texas - which attracts a lot of creative, young, hip talent to the area. That's a Pro.

Cons

Corporate narcissism, massive turnover, and curious practices in submitting entries into review sites and 'best places to work in Austin' awards. They hire young, engage in shady motivational tactics ("disagree with your boss? You're fired") and literally underpay while pushing for more hours to take advantage of their employees. You're hearing reviewers say it's like a cult - they are not at all off track. One need only hear employees being praised for working 100 hours a week to realize recognition is based not on merit but on slavish devotion to a cause that is dedicated to the ego of a leader who does not walk on water.
