The HR staff keep leaving, like every three months. They're completely unable to answer employee questions. The entire operations team is terrible at creating policies with a low workload, and the TAs are all people who belittle you without considering their own qualifications. I don't understand why those TAs aren't from the HR team, it makes me completely clueless about who to contact. The IT team keeps playing the clique game. They pretend to be nice but will badmouth you for no reason. Those in business operations are even more likely to stab you in the back or publicly criticize others.

Basically, there are no employee benefits; everything sticks to the minimum required by the Hong Kong government. If they promise any extra benefits before you come on board, don’t get your hopes up. Check your employment contract carefully—they usually won’t include those ‘extras’ so they can do a U-turn on the policy whenever they want, and you’ll end up with nothing. They also have a very unprofessional HR team with zero knowledge of—or respect for—the law. You’ll have to beg several times for your monthly payslips, your leave-balance report, and even the medical insurance card you’re entitled to, and you’ll still get no reply from them. You have to work like a slave and act like a dog just to earn your reference letter/employment proof when you quit. Otherwise, you’ll get nothing when you leave. Worse, they’ll deduct your final pay for no reason and give no explanation. Therefore, if you can survive under their dictatorship, congratulations—I believe you can survive anywhere on this earth!
