Pros
CML - prior to acquisition by LifeLabs - had a good team environment, but groups were often very silo-ed and as a result communication was often difficult between groups, and smooth coordination of upstream/downstream activities often suffered. CML was very committed to ensuring the best technology was in place to support diagnostic activities, but it came at a cost of a very lean management structure; while this might be seen as a positive for some, it could result in a lower standard of personal accountability than one would expect at a medical diagnostic laboratory.
Cons
Wages meaningfully lower than comparable roles at hospitals or competitors; lean management structure means career-advancement options were hotly contested.
