Pros
Great co-workers (the only pro).
Cons
All of the managers of the underwriting associates (with the exception of1) are extreme micro-managers. If you get up from your desk to help someone, plan on getting called in a conference room for not being at your desk doing work. The mgrs aren't team players. They're out to make another mgr look bad & fabricate many lies about the associates & other mgrs. Sadly, when proof of this is provided to upper mgmt, it got worse instead of better (mgr was out to get the associate for getting them in trouble; vicious cycle). Many 'perks' were taken away from sr assoc because the mgr(s) didn't understand what was going on & didn't want an associate to have more knowledge than them. The majority of the mgrs have only been there about 6-7yes & have no idea what is entailed with surety. They keep referencing how they managed in their micro-managed past jobs. CNA is not a black & white job. You really need to be able to think & use common sense. The Mgrs have made the commet anyone (monkeys) could do the job. Sadly, not 1 of the mgrs would be able to fulfill that statement. If you don't want to be treated like an adult, the SF branch is the place for you.
