I found the pay and benefits to be pretty decent. I think I started with 4 weeks PTO and the pay was competitive.

Cons

No support when things went haywire. Found myself as the only nurse after my colleague quit suddenly... forced to work 80 hours/week for several months. Then found myself in a battle to try to block a potential new resident who was known to be quite violent. I lost the battle, he moved in and I got beat up almost immediately. That was the last straw for me, and quite honestly I hung on far too long

Low wage, not a lot of support for professional development and burn-out prevention, takes several years to get good time off benefits
