Pros

Nice product, relatively good people, always hiring so plenty of work if you need it.

Cons

HIGH STRESS ENVIRONMENT, essentially H&M but more upmarket. Serious amount of traffic, Sale period is an Absolute MAD HOUSE, claustrophobia both on the floor and in the exceptionally cramped stock room, you are not working for a mid sized boutique brand, there will be constant queues at the register and fitting rooms. ZERO WORK/LIFE BALANCE FOR FULL TIME. Massive days, EARLY STARTS - 6:30am-4:00pm, LATE FINISHES 12:30-945pm, Rotating roster meaning for full time you have 4 days on, one (never enough) day off, then another four days on, another day off and eventually two days off in a row every 2nd weekend, (of the last 9 days, you've worked 8) horrible!! and they wonder why they are continuously recruiting?! Very needy customers. Low pay and no bonus system. High turnover, quality managers come, take one look at the place and go. Poor uniform allowance and measly staff discount of 25%, you will often end up having to buy your clothes.

Pros

Great staff who are dedicated and really care, one of the reasons I love working at COS is because of the wonderful people I work with. Management has improved with a full team and great ASM Good training, however not as thourough since opening Management are quite flexible and accomodating with shifts

Cons

Hours are long 6.4am starts, 9.45pm closes External stock room means carrying stock up and down stairs Small store and even smaller stockroom and deck room makes it difficult for space management, can at times be a dangerous work environment Not environmentally conscious especially when garments arrive in plastic and paper Small stockroom borderline OH&S standards Not many team bonding or rewards other than a Christmas party Can be quite stressful at times especially when understaffed A lot of pressure and expectation placed on full timers (40hr and 36 hr week rotations can be draining) Have witnessed condescending and passive behaviour (bullying) from management to staff (staff have left crying and upset)

Pros

Excellent kitchen + facilities. Training possibilities and growth within company, only if you beg. Also $440 allowance per season. Strong customer service.

Cons

Terrible management - quite unorganized, forgetful, money hungry and lack of support for workers. Extremely demanding workload considering its retail and very hard to maintain a work/life balance. Not environmentally friendly with packaging. Management have a superiority complex yet still make uninformed decisions - also applies to area team (whom make themselves completely inaccessible).
