Great Mission - Terrible Execution

Pros

Very interesting problems and a lot of passion amongst the foot soldiers to solve them.

Cons

Culture has gradually disintegrated to the point of non-existence and what is left of it across the various teams is incredibly antimeritocratic. Disproportional energy is put into discussions and plans on how to solve problems with little regard for ever actually putting that vision into action. Lots of switcheroos and politics coupled with little regard for the employees who make up the engine that drives the company mission to reality. Talent is leaving in swarms and it's unlikely the course can be corrected.

Pros

Company's mission of using data to improve cancer care is great and an important one to our society.

Cons

Management team does not address well documented concerns of employees, such as organizational efficiency, career progression, need for diversity, training, or even compensation for entire teams (sales apparently has not received any commission for completed deals). Executives are slow to make crucial decisions (e.g. hiring key roles, hiring vendors, reviewing documents, giving corrective feedback, etc.) and are risk averse, leading to paralysis in every team. Executive team doesn't promote confidence in employees and doesn't realize that indecision/underinvestment demotivates talented employees - especially in Engineering, Product, and Marketing. Executive team plays favorites with those who fit the mold (white, male). Management cannot agree\clearly communicate on the 3 goals they want to accomplish this year as an organization. Therefore each department pursues its own agendas, leading to disjointed and disorganized situations.
