Pros
Your co-workers are usually smart, eager people who want to create fun games. And the company's fairly desperate so if you're looking for your first job in games, you can totally get hired.
Cons
The same two dinosaurs have run this company since the beginning of time and stopped learning about how to make games in 1994. They will over work you (70+ hour weeks), under pay you (if they pay you at all), and systematically crush all your hopes, dreams and aspirations. The CEO is so good at raising and squandering money, he's probably a con-man.
