      Decent deal flow. Lots of opportunities to work on stressed companies. Robust fundamental credit analysis approach

      Cons

      Can be difficult to get more complex deals across the finish line if companies need more of a blended capital solution that isn’t just sr secured debt.

      pretty toxic work environment, but also centered around nothing to do and making it look like you're actually working for the boss man lol

      + Opportunity to interact with founder + Interesting place when it gets busy + A lot of potential responsibilities and room for you to step up if you take initiative + Tight-knit class of analysts. Easy to make friends

      Cons

      - Occasional analyst or manager fine with throwing you under the bus - Lack of pay transparency - When it gets slow, it is almost unbearable - Politics - Either a lot of 50+ yr old employees or a lot of 20 year olds. Not much potential for mentorship from someone who was in the same place as you 5-10 yrs ago
