Pros
If you are an officer, pay is above average compared to other jurisdictions, but you also have fewer personal safety assurances than in other jurisdictions. Can be a very rewarding job if you have the right personality. Compressed schedule and telework available after probationary period.
Cons
Stressful work environment both from clients and some managers who regularly throw employees under the bus. Management ignores personal safety issues until it becomes an immediate threat, with middle managers shielding most issues from Director's attention, or so it seems. Very little advancement opportunity.
