Pros

Their homes are pretty but expensive for what you get. The company makes very good profit but their stock price doesn't show it for some reason.

Cons

Their are so many, lowest commission percentage in the industry. They won't tell you want you will be paid until after you start. We were all unhappy but feel stuck because of backlog. Everyday you have to be mean to buyers. Once they make their selections like granite, wood floors or tile there are NO changes! NONE! It doesn't matter that the house hadn't started!!! You are even allowed to ask management for an exception! It is NO or you are in trouble for asking. It is just not the way to treat a customer.

Pros

They make the hire decision over night and get you on board the next day.

Cons

Upon hire you will be reminded constantly that there are hundreds of people who want your job. I guess this is the way they convince you that you are NOT important and have to feel grateful to them for giving you an opportunity to work for them! I was hired as an installer in the triple digit summer heat and was given 3 company shirts that had already been worn and some even had bleach marks on them. They don't drug test their installers and yet allow them to drive company vehicles and operate large equipment...

Pros

Benefits are decent. Co-workers were nice.

Cons

Management is unprofessional and does not communicate with employees. No work life balance and extremely hostile work environment. Company expects employees to work their scheduled day shift and then stay to work OT until 9, 10, 11 pm or later with no notice. Do not bother giving any feedback to management or HR, they don't want to hear anything and you will be a target for retaliation. Lastly, don't bother giving two weeks notice unless you are prepared to be sent home and not paid. Our department was new and our manager did not have the knowledge to help us learn our jobs and was unwilling to go search out the correct answers for us. Our manager also lied and literally yelled at my group many times and anything we said to her back was written down and used in all of our reviews against us.
