Pros
I’ve been very happy since joining Caladan. It’s a great environment for people with an entrepreneurial mindset — if you take initiative, there’s a lot of room to thrive and make an impact.
- Great people: The team is sharp, collaborative, and always willing to help. I’ve found everyone approachable and open to constructive discussion.
- Modern tech: As a C++ engineer, I appreciate being able to shape and evolve the stack. There’s no pressure to support legacy tools just for the sake of it — quality and pragmatism matter.
- Results-oriented: If you’re passionate about building and constantly improving your craft, there are plenty of opportunities to take ownership and drive change in the stack and processes.
- Open culture: Management has been receptive to my feedback, supportive of my needs, and willing to engage in honest, thoughtful conversations when I had questions or concerns.
Cons
Nothing unexpected — just the usual challenges you’d find in a growing company (e.g., evolving processes, some ambiguity at times). But these come with the territory and are actively being worked on.
