It's easy to get stuck in a rut if you are not a "squeaky wheel". That is, if you demonstrate a capacity to do one mundane task or project, you might get stuck doing that for the duration of your tenure (I understand that sometimes this is necessary). Unfortunately, you have to be EXTREMELY proactive about expressing desire for new and challenging projects, almost to the point of being annoying.
Management is not eager to provide outside training opportunities, although this is supposedly directly tied to revenue. My opinion is that providing opportunities for training and development should be available regardless...this helps with retention.
Final note, not very competitive with compensation /bonus, based on my experience outside. Although, this could be another "squeaky wheel" situation, but I doubt it.
