Pros

Some of the counselors were cool to meet.

Cons

Where to begin? This place is TOXIC. The directors sense of self importance is ridiculous. They’ve got big fish in a small pond mentalities. They think for 25k a year you should be happy to work 80+ hours a week without any support from your directors. While working here they literally told me they didn’t have time to train me and to figure it out. Their staff turnover rates are crazy high. This place is miserable to work at.

If I could give zero stars I would.

Pros

Lots of outdoor time at work. The campers are amazing. Best part about this place.

Cons

Salary is terrible. Like, 25k a year for 80+ hour workweeks in the hot summer terrible. This is “made up for” by short days in the winter. Skye and Sarah are some of the most egotistical and condescending people I have ever worked for. They put on this facade of how CF is all happy vibes and good times, but working for them is the worst. They see themselves as gods of this camp and man, it’s just the worst. They’ll expect you to understand things that you’ve never been shown or told about and then you’ll be punished when you don’t understand them. Whether you’re in traditional camp, riding camp, the kitchen, or elsewhere at camp, odds are you’ll be treated like garbage and have horror stories and trauma once you finally leave.
