Pros

Lots of activities to participate in, including watersports.

Cons

Sexist environment towards counselors. The few male counselors are allowed excessive privileges and held to much lower standards than the female counselors. The camp culture makes the men appearing at any event a special one, teaching the kids to seek male attention and respect the male counselors more than the females. Even though it's an all girls camp, the counselor dynamic and the attitude of management makes it feel like a boys club. The camp is exhausting and not very rewarding.

Pros

The very very VERY few pros do not outweigh all the cons I promise.

Cons

Though the other counselors you’ll meet are great it doesn’t make up for the overall awfulness of the place you will basically be working 16 grueling hours days, and the few hours you are given off you then have a early curfew or you’ll be reprimanded if even a minute late, expect for your nights off that you were promised to be frequently taken from you. Hope you don’t get injured or sick or your screwed as the main person in charge is the owners wife and she has no regard for your well-being, after barfing in the cabin and letting her know I had vomited blood before she immediately said your fine and sent me back to work despite having plenty of room in the wellness center and when you have injures know that you will be sent away if it’s not during the 2 hour span they actually work from 8-9am and 5-6pm, I am not joking when I say you could literally be bleeding and they will turn you away. Expect no personal time or time to take care of your hygiene as the girls will be in the bathroom almost all time and on account of you not being allowed to be in the bathroom when the girls are you won’t be able shower or change when you need at a point my only option was showering in one of the buildings that had been closed because of black mold, this is not a choice anyone should have to make. The group heads are nothing more pathetic adult women creating problems, lying, causing as much drama as possible and will not keep you informed on the already messed up non existing schedule, be prepared to be expected at places without ever actually being told or knowing. There is so much more and worse things I could write about but I will finish it here and say for your own mental and physical heath DO NOT WORK HERE!!!
