Pros

Strong community, supportive management, amazing networking for the future, leadership opportunities, chance to make a real impact on kids lives, learn skills that will serve you well at other jobs, make friends that will last a lifetime! Spend the summer outdoors instead of stuck in an office.

Cons

It's only 7 weeks! Goes by so fast.

Pros

The staff were great, the pay wasn't terrible, and room and board were taken care of. I really enjoyed my time with the kids and the staff. I made some lifelong friends there. It's a great place if you don't need money during the summer.

Cons

The children were spoiled rotten. I heard that it cost approximately $11,000 a summer (per kid). Some families had three kids at camp. The worst part was getting paid in one lump sum at the end of the summer.

Pros

As a camp counselor you get to spend most of the time supervising or being involved in activities with the kids. You are in the bunk with the kids and eat meals with the kids. There's a variety of activities the kids have in a day such as basketball, tennis, swimming, field hockey, drama, arts and crafts, gaga ball, quidditch, and culinary. There's some field trips like going to theme parks, waterparks, bowling, and a county fair. Certain age groups get to go rafting. I think inter girls and the equivalent age for boys. older age groups also get to go camping. Counselors were nice and friendly. There's a mix of people from different states and countries. You get a couple of full days off, and there's shifts on night duties.

Cons

Counselors didn't have access to their phones unless it was their day off or night off. If you don't have a car, it's hard on your days off or nights off to go anywhere. They did have a bus that took you into town occasionally, but only late times coming back to camp. The time to release counselors on their night off varied sometimes it was on time sometimes it was 30 mins late or 2 hours late it just depended if the evening activity ran late.
