Great opportunities for self-starters in a remote setting
Pros
(This review is for a full-time position, not a student-creator role.) Before joining CampusReel, I was nervous about working for a startup since I'd heard horror stories about other startups' cultures - I've been proved wrong! This is a place for self-starters who are adaptable, good at problem-solving, good at communicating, and okay with processes that are still developing. That's not the right fit for everyone (see the Cons!), but even as someone who appreciates order and coherence, I've been able to make my way. CampusReel rewards people who are willing to jump in and collaborate on a way forward. I've gotten many, many more opportunities here than I did at the previous mid-sized consulting firms I worked for.
Cons
As stated above, if you're not comfortable with being a relatively independent problem-solvers with a good bit of tenacity to get things done, this may not be the best fit. CampusReel doesn't have much overhead or management, and it's not the ideal environment for everyone who are looking for more traditional advancement. We are also a fully remote company - that works well for some and not for others.
