Pros

The pay is pretty solid.

Cons

Unfortunately, due to a decent starting pay, which may have changed since then, they don't offer much else in the form of anything Insurance sucks, benefits suck, pretty much take this job if you are desperate to be taken advantage of and just need to make money, but know everything about their software. They barely know enough about their software. They have two good developers, which I am not even sure if they left the company. Their owner, I think Tom Tyson or something like that, clearly has "doctor intellect" meaning his intellect is limited to only the one thing he knows and like most doctors, is actually a very intelligent person. He make at whim decisions to change software patches that have been on the board and nearing end development, just because a client throws a buzzword at him and he panics. Save yourself the trouble, don't work here.

Pros

Very flexible working hours, with experienced senior developers who are always willing to share their technical expertise and mentor teammates.

Cons

Compensation is below the market rate for software developers with similar experience and responsibilities. Senior management can be overly involved in day-to-day work, which limits autonomy and slows decision-making.

Pros

Hello.... Can you think from another's point of view? Can you see that everyone at the core has the same light as such, can you see and feel how they may perceive? ~~ There are three viewpoints to recognize with everyone, any interaction enters someones perception which is filtered and constructed in our minds... but the map is not the territory. Therefore, we all see a version of everyone which is altered, part reflection initially, changed by our experiences and emotions. Remember: there is your perception and POV, their perception and POV, and the truth, which also becomes another observers perspective lol.... my point is this team does that. When unclear, they ask questions. What you type can be read in many ways, rapport eventually helps as like auto-perception-correct. ~~ It takes time to build rapport, and effort. Hey i learned that leaving out details while telling accurate facts is 'lying by omission' (off topic but it is good knowledge...). C.H.S in my experience will stick with you, especially with those with have potential within, which is all of us, and the entire team. |\ /| \.|./ Having said that, it is those who show that they want to be more, are grateful, and want to co-evolve with the company. FRANKLY those super-stars could become famous....: __ Doctors test, diagnose, fix people... while, Devs(&QA)] , test. debug, and fix the code which becomes their utilities to help heal. (similarities!) But to be direct we make and support the tools that save lives. WOW, ponder that for a while (with humblized pride). Helping people like this Rocks...... I just wish feedback increased (that said there is good feedback here)... but, motivational techniques could let one see things in action. ~ [Personal] ... let us say... Someone Who Is a Recursive Friend [so not me .. fingers crossed ] , let's call them SWARF. SWARF had a mental health issue in 2018 (and had to miss a lot of work). Their loyalty has led SWARF to extend that loyalty back. Both, Managers are amazing people, they are the type of managers existing as part of the team in every way. The two CEO doctors are so great, they engage, they ask how you are: This company cares! Also, C.H.S. is not Appletree, they are one of our clients (sister). C.H.S. wont leave you in the dust, SWARF is so grateful for their help in getting though it, and learning to cope. I have no plans to leave, and neither does SWARF... mainly due to this loyalty, also the team is great! Also: If discussed... it is not about hours.... it is about getting stuff done. You may work less, you maybe work more, and you maybe (if you choose to) work weekends. Agile in this new digital only world has lead to texting-dissociation syndrome. It is a set of symptoms occurring together (such as feeling disconnected, wondering if those silhouettes in the meetings are real, even a bit of psychosis. TDS can be avoided through interaction. We have morning chats during standup. Hearing everyones voice daily grounded SWARF. The new world is also like: be there for meetings and real communication, and getting things done! Time is an illusion... at the end of the day, you just was to say, that you feel accomplished, and connected, with both the project and the team. Crazy the difference when people hear that names, and are lightly praised... too much positive reenforcement leads to inflated pride and arrogant behaviour. No Good. With light negative reenforcement, and being told bluntly...(maybe one gets offended, or mad), but that ok, as in time it can turn into humbleness. No Emotions is bad, just as no musical note or colour is bad. Anger is ok, it is all about your reaction to strong emotions. My manager taught me most this by suggesting reading about E.Q. and I.Q companion. EQ is 100% as important to IQ! ~ There is a team member, who tries (maybe too hard), but to raise charisma. I am grateful for those interactions. Frankly I wishI could communicate this to them. .. maybe I will: a simple phrase may take a second of us to say, but could meant the universe to them. ~~~ Long Book, Main Point is C.H.S. is my best choice that I made some eight years ago! It may take a while, and consider your EQ, but in time you will realize it is great. ... juts wish everyone would see each other more.... Guess, I will have to make that 3d models of the office, and animate everyone with likeness, and speech movements. New weekend hobby project! haha

Cons

Isolation from seeing people. Communication Reception = 7% text/verbal/words + 38% vocal/voice tone + 55% body language. Even with voice that is only 45%.
