Pros

Very laid back environment and dress code Fun, silly group of people - You will make great friends here Flexible start-time in the morning Great benefits Big clients Lots of extracurricular fun Free snacks in the kitchen PTO Hands down some of the most creatively talented people I've worked with

Cons

Late nights happen fairly often VERY UNORGANIZED - where is the project management? where is the communication? you've got to figure out how you can hold people accountable for deadlines. I often felt like the late nights were caused by the un-organization and from people goofing off too much. I shouldn't have to stay late because you don't have enough discipline to sit down and get your work done on time. I understand that it happens sometimes, but with EVERY PROJECT? That's just disrespectful to your fellow employees. Being a type-A creative does not work well here. You'll go crazy. However - it seems like a lot of people working there somehow are okay with this type of work environment/flow. As long as you're into the hyper-relaxed environment, un-organization and procrastination you'll be fine. With that being said - overall it's a great group of people with good intentions. It's just not the right place for me. I need some structure and communication.

Pros

Creative is top notch. Big name clients keep coming back due to the quality of the work. Employees are hardworking but also know how to have fun. No egos. Owners give the employees a lot of room to make big decisions and grow into more responsibility. Pay was great for St. Louis. Always free food. Located in downtown Clayton so there are lots of places to walk to eat and a park nearby if you want to take a run at lunchtime.

Cons

When you work with a lot of big names, those clients are usually a bit more demanding. Bigger projects, tighter deadlines, etc. The people at CB work hard. Lots of nights and weekends and for some, traveling. Everyone there manages their life around the hours. I wasn't prepared for the additional 20+ hours a week so it didn't work for me.

Pros

Cannonball is a small-sized agency with a prestigious portfolio. It's a place where you have the opportunity to prove yourself and not get held back due to "titles" Everyone is very talented; you can learn a lot of valuable knowledge about the ins and outs of the advertising world as well as absorb much of the creativeness around you. It's one of those places where you feel at home with all the good "midwest" attitude.

Cons

No downsides...as long as you're not afraid to pull a couple of "all-nighters"
