Company does not invest in their employees
Pros
You can buy cheap bikes. I was able to move up but was ultimately pushed into a role not right for me and nor supported through transition.
Cons
Low pay for the responsibility, even compared to other bike industry roles. The company provides very little training for employees yet expects expertise from day one. Salaried employees are expected to work well beyond their 40 hours. Very little cross-department cooperation, often making contentious relationships with peers and coworkers. Often placed in immoral positions interacting with direct employees and end-users but asked to put aside beliefs and put the company first. Managed a 12 million dollar budget but made $50k/year. The company bragged about record breaking profits but denied raises to myself and any employees saying "we don't have the money".
