      False claims of earning potential

      Pros

      Some nice people, they provide leads, no draw on hourly wage for commission employees.

      Cons

      3 days of training then nothing more, impossible to get files approved, interview process included many false claims of 6 figure income, great leads and good work environment. Went from over 50 loan officers to 10 in under 6 months. Let good employees go and kept poor performers due to seniority. Terrible leadership.

      Pros

      When the market is going well, job at CapWest will go well. Their processing and underwriting flow is very different from other mortgage operations. Have some great seasoned management that are employed there.

      Cons

      Upper management consists of those who are friends with the President not based on any qualifying criteria. When market turns your job is in jeopardy. Rely too much on Costco relationship. They do not completely utilize the talent of those currently employed. Work flow process is flawed.

      Good folks in a bad situation

      Cons

      Bad leadership, misrepresentations of earnings potential to prospective hires, horrible operations (can't close loans), worst pay plan in town for Loan Officers.
