Pros

None other than a once Iconic Brand and Leader in their Industry

Cons

5th Gen Owners who have been handed an Iconic Company, yet have NO IDEA how to actually run, and maintain their once held number one position in their respective market. Ownership and Professional Management or a SERIOUS lack there of. I believe they call this "Entitlement" ...

Pros

Sadly, there are no pros to working at this company. Knowing the brand my entire life, I was thrilled when I was offered a job here. I came to learn that Capezio is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. The CEO has no knowledge of the dance world and is never "present." They treat their employees with disrespect and are rude. Even though you need to take a drug test to work there, many of its employees are under the influence of drugs while at work. They have "Wine Wednesday," which may sound great, but really it's many of the male employees running around like idiots. I am surprised there haven't been more sexual harassment claims filed there. HR is a family member, so you don't feel safe going to them with concerns, and when you do, nothing is done to solve the problem as they turn a blind eye. With that being said, there is major favortism, as many of the employees are friends of the family, with no experience, dance knowledge or background and have a nasty personality inside and out. The CEO is a terrible leader and makes disrespectful, nasty comments to his employees. They throw a free lunch to the employees every once in a while to make up for the fact that they haven't given employees a raise in over five years. Also, when there is a lunch, the warehouse employees get there first and stash all of the food to take home to their families. When the other employees go for food, there is none left. There are NO annual reviews or opportunities for merit-based increases. Computers and technology (what technology?) are all outdated and from the early 1990's. Laptops take about two hours to turn on and boot up. Upper management treats employees like children when it comes to working from home when there is bad weather. There is absolutely no dress code and employees walk around in sweatpants looking unprofessional. The company's money goes to other businesses family members have started, while they leave Capezio to drown. They make their employees feel uncomfortable, anxious and desperate to hold on to their job. They go on random firing sprees and fire people for the "wrong reasons." They are constantly changing titles of positions so they can't get in trouble for moving people around or firing people. They have no idea what they are talking about and give empty promises. There is no learning, growth or potential to advance within this company. Please do yourself a favor and stay away.

Cons

Everything in the above.

The worst "professional" endeavor I've ever experienced.

Pros

Flexible hours and very cheap cafeteria food.

Cons

The other reviews could not be more accurate. This is a poor excuse for a company and the work environment is very unprofessional. Upper management is absolutely entitled and have no idea how to effectively communicate and run a company or treat employees. This is a family business that was passed down and the senior family members have done little to enhance the livelihood of their employees, culture, and company reputation. Senior management has absolutely no consideration for their employees - they lay people off whenever they feel necessary without a substantial explanation, ignore harassment claims, and there is VERY little room for career growth. They hire managers in their corporate office without college degrees. They keep these amateurs and get rid off those employees who have great ideas and strong work ethics, are educated and are dedicated. It makes no sense! For a prestigious brand, they are a disgrace. I've worked at four companies prior, and never experienced such ridiculous situations. All managers are very disorganized, there is lack of communication, there are no formal processes and no training for any systems or onboarding. I actually accepted my job offer without a formal offer letter. Never received that documentation... I'm relieved to no longer be associated with this 'company'.
