Pros

-Remote Working -Christmas Week Off

Cons

Stay away unless you want a Mental BREAKDOWN. Company culture is equivalent to a small church in the midwest. There is absolutely no diversity. If you are diverse you stick out like a sore thumb. This place is a small town religious cult and unless you think like them and act like them prepare to be exploited. They aren't a fan of employees speaking up. CEO and management pretend they care about their employees but higher management literally sits back and delegates all of their work to the associates. (Animal Farm movie system). This is mainly because managers hardly understand how their own systems work, they are unable to provide structure, they are unable to provide direction you basically have to walk them through how to do their own jobs. Basic technology is like rocket science to them. VERY OLD SCHOOL. Same people have been working there for years or in that same structure so you don't learn anything from them as they have never evolved. HR doesn't do anything but gossip (literally gossip about their own and everyone else's personal issues) they delegate their work to other departments and then take all the credit in the end. It's literally shocking. I don't understand how some of the people in HR have their titles. Exploitation at its finest since the pay is severely low and you are stuck working some serious overtime working hard in your own role as well as your managers, and help isn't provided when asked. I wish I would've read a real review when I applied rather than have read some of these fake ones. This company doesn't even look great on your resume- do yourself a favor and go work for a better accounting firm. The only people they reward are the ones who suck up to the CEO, pretend to do work, or keep their mouth shut and continue to work this way.

Pros

Small audit teams means you quickly get exposure to many audit areas and the chance to progress as quickly as you would like.

Cons

Women didn’t get the same opportunities in my office because management adhered to the “Billy Graham” rule (an evangelical based morality guideline that was applied to a professional environment), meaning no man and woman travel together as just the two of them. Due to the size of many of CapinCrouse clients and the limited number of female managers/partners in the office, my ability to travel to more complex clients, work alongside partners, and receive real-time feedback was limited because of my gender. If you are not religious, note that all company meetings include devotional and prayer. It is widely assumed that if you want to work here, you are also a Christian.

Pros

Good clients and team members

Cons

A lot of partners wanted to retire so they sold to CRI and employees lost benefits and work life balance for no gain.
