It's all good until sometimes when you play in the rain you get stuck in the mud!

Pros

This hospital is tucked away and in a quite area. The patients are tended to in a fast manner and taken care of well. The staff that have been there for years are all like your family.

Cons

Not to open in providing staff with further educational experiences in their fields of practice that they may be interested in obtaining knowledge in. Not willing to work with scheduling conflicts.

Paycheck. Free parking. Nice gift shop.

Cons

Administration makes a show of serving employees a couple times a year - serving meals in custom-embroidered chef coats and going around the facility with candy or ice cream in a wagon. Really? There is no meaningful connection whatsoever. If you want to be treated like an adult whose opinion is valued, at a workplace that you can be proud of - keep looking.

Working with people who genuinely care about patient outcomes and one another makes it a great place to work. They are willing to do what it takes to improve the healthcare environment.

Cons

As with any job that involves potentially making life and death decisions, there can be a high level of stress. That stress can filter down through all levels of employees at the hospital making work life a bit more challenging.
