Pros

They changed the name of the company to try and brush the negativity under the rug. Look up detroit business consulting.

Cons

Typical multi-level marketing. Not worth your time and effort whatsoever. Do research before even taking an interview!

Pros

The interview process will be a waste of your time and is a complete dog-and-pony show operated by, seemingly, genuinely friendly people.

Cons

First they'll reel you in with the promise of making a base salary of $30k + with the opportunity of stepping into a management position. However, they absolutely dodge every question that was aimed to fully round out what exactly you'll be doing... door to door sales for a SOLELY COMMISSION BASED CHECK. Every example in the interview process was how they perform "marketing strategies" for AT&T. All they talked about was AT&T. That was the first red flag. If this was a multi-million dollar international marketing firm, why were the only examples about AT&T? It's because they want you to do "direct sales" or door-to-door sales selling AT&T services. They'll tell you that they'll give you a sign on bonus of $400 and from there on out, you won't make any money. They say if you sign at least 2 clients a day (remember, these clients are people you'll bother at their residence with no knowledge of your impending arrival) you have the chance to earn up to $300 a day. It's simply not true. You'll work 50+ hours a week ( 11:30-8:00 p.m. M-F and 10:00-5:30 on Saturdays, unless you sign 2 clients on Saturday, you can leave early) and have to use your own personal vehicle to travel to areas with "client leads". There are reviews saying the people who didn't do well are lazy, poor salespeople, etc. but this simply is not the case. When I was offered the position, as you all will because their turn over rate is incredibly high, I had a lovely conversation with "HR" where I was politely lied to after I had inquired as to why they changed their name, why they lied about the position compensation, why all the reviews talk about door-to-door sales. They know what they're doing and they sincerely don't care. Its a matter of conditioning their employees and practicing some light-hearted brainwashing. Another Google search you can do is "Devil Corp" and just find out for yourself. I can go on and on about how much this whole thing is a scam but just do yourself a favor and search Detroit Business Consulting.

Immoral & Unethical

Pros

None. This job is not worth your time and effort.

Cons

The entire "business" is predicated on deceiving people, whether it be employees, interviewees, or customers. It is "lead-based" door-to-door sales, which, to be fair, is not inherently awful. However, you'll never be provided with a sufficient amount of product knowledge, and in turn, you'll end up unknowingly lying to customers just in order to get a sale. They'll train you on how to impulse customers, preaching that you know what's best for them, when in reality, you barely know anything yourself. Capital sells a dream that you will one day be able to open up your business, make six figures, and rule your own life. Don't be deceived. Sales reps quit the job at an astronomical rate, whereas only a select few have ever risen to the top of the pyramid scheme. They'll say that the reason that these employees didn't make it in the "business" is because they were lazy, or unmotived, or losers. In reality, they were incredibly hard working people who worked very long hours (upwards of 50 hours/week), only to be compensated with a $100-$300 paycheck (well below the fictitious $800-$1200 weekly pay that they tell to interviewees). If for some reason you still aren't convinced, google search The Devil Corp and go to the WordPress website. It explains this job better than I could ever do.
