This role was such a positive experience for me. I got the unique perspective of both the behind-the-scenes as a care coordinator and more of the “hands-on” work as a PT tech and working with patients. This really helped me understand the full picture of that physical therapy looks like in this type of setting and I feel like it has prepared me well for PT school myself. Not only did I get to learn immensely about the profession but I felt very supported in my own professional journey as well. Julie has been an incredible mentor both for this role and in helping me apply and get accepted to PT school. This is a great experience for anyone taking a gap year and I highly recommend it!
When I was hired, Julie assured me that she would help me on my journey to PT school. Months later when the time came and I reached out for her help, she didn’t delay and she was helpful, efficient and held her word to me. For that I am so grateful, knowing how busy she is but that she still made time to thoughtfully contribute in my career.
