      Pros

      Despite the challenges, there were some positive aspects of working at Caplena. One was the competitive pay they offered to employees which contributed to attracting skilled professionals to the team. The importance of work-life balance is also highly regarded.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, my time at Caplena was overshadowed by a few concerning aspects. The founders' excessive pride in their product often led to gatekeeping behaviors, making it difficult for employees to share fresh ideas and perspectives. This reluctance to embrace change hindered the company's potential for growth and innovation. Furthermore, the lack of responsiveness to employee feedback was a significant drawback. Despite numerous attempts by multiple team members to highlight areas that required improvement, the founders remained resistant to making necessary changes. This inflexibility impacted employee morale and hindered the company's ability to adapt to evolving market demands. To add to the discontent, my termination from Caplena occurred at an inconvenient time in my personal life, leading to additional stress and hardship. The lack of empathy during this critical moment was disheartening and left a lasting negative impression.

      Pros

      Great inclusive work environment and work/life balance, flexible schedule, good compensation. Low stress. Very happy overall. They go above and beyond to accommodate and support you and all issues are addressed quickly. The company seems to value open communication & suggestions. The office is centrally located, has snacks and coffee too.

      Cons

      As the team is growing, it's very fast-paced, and you get to do a variety of tasks, but it's not necessarily a con.

Upon learning about my difficulties in adapting to the Mac environment, the CEOs showed remarkable understanding and support by enabling me to select a Linux machine that suited my expertise. Their swift and accommodating response highlighted their exceptional leadership and commitment to employee comfort and productivity. Highly Talented Team: The company boasts a diverse team of highly skilled and passionate individuals, facilitating a rich learning environment and collaboration on cutting-edge projects. Work-Life Balance: Caplena values its employees' well-being, offering flexible working hours and remote work options to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
