      Pros

      Can be a good work/life balance, depending on which team you work for. Many nice genuine people on the "shop floor".

      Cons

      Aggressive management who have an over-inflated opinion of themselves and the company. Fairly ruthless in their hiring and firing, i.e. staff turnover excessive. Stifled environment, i.e. mind your p's and q's. Antiquated systems and processes, though improvements being made.

      As one of the new engineers at Cardano it’s one of those chance of a lifetime jobs to take an established company with a whole new business, so more like a startup, and be part of the future. I am part of the engineering of a new platform to be a modern web based, big data, API driven, open source environment and re-engineering ourselves to be active participants in the technical community. All this with complete support and encouragement from the top. The people are the most friendly I have ever worked with and there is still the small firm culture. My first week everyone came by to chat and socially I don't think there has been a week where we did not go out. Unlike my previous jobs the work life balance is great with opportunity for personal time like going to the gym etc. I am putting in hours but only because I am enjoying it so much, it is my choice. I actually jump out of bed in the morning now.

      Cons

      I really cannot see any at this stage other than if you don't like change.
