It seems like a lot of the 5* reviews on Glassdoor come from student ambassadors and temp workers, which suggests a covert system for doctoring reviews where the institution encourages reviews at the end of zero hour contracts. In reality, the place is going through the second voluntary redundancy scheme in a year, and people who have retired / resigned will not be replaced, leaving those who remain (and the unfortunate new hires who trusted the reviews) to pick up the pieces.

Politics and bureaucracy. Bullying. Extremely poor management. No training. No accountability. Old-fashioned staff and departments that are unwilling to change. No development opportunities. No CPD. Disparity of responsibilities. Unclear leadership. Unprofessional and embarrassing HR department. Laziness in some members of staff. No inclusivity. No internal communications. Departments and staff working in silos. No clear objectives and goals.
