Pros

Near to home for ease of travel. It was actually a reasonable place to work at Watford house care home until care concern took it under their large umbrella and after the last good manager left, then things went south and I was bullied out of their for being a neuro divergent person with Asperger's and serious confidence issues

Cons

Too much red tape and peer pressure to tick boxes for work and checks not done. A policy of urging others to tell tales for better treatment at work and very aggressive management. Do as they say, not as they do. Longest job I've had by far until I had to leave and currently having therapy because of the experience

Pros

I’m not sure I have any….would say the team however they destroyed that by either forcing the good out or dismissing them left right and centre.

Cons

If you don’t work there you won’t have any. They have all the chat and Buzz words you can think of, a report or meeting for everything you don’t need, but truth is the higher management sit be hide teams dictating and stating what they feel should be done to meet standards yet they have either not set foot in the home or if they do will blank residents, families and staff. They don’t care about the staff they want you too work yourself to the ground to provide these “high standards” they talk about but don’t give you the time or resources and staffing to achieve this as their too busy with their spreadsheets and social media rubbish where they are the poster girl for the saying ‘Instagram vs reality’. They will bend the social media and review truth they’d give AI a run for its money. Too many cooks and all that… well too little hardworking staff can kill a care home.
