Pros

Direct care work without the bodily fluids. If you want to work on the frontlines of mental illness, this is a place to do that.

Cons

It's shiftwork and so much gets lost in translation. For those working second and third shifts, it's another world from first shift when management is on site. Supervision is handled poorly at the Pottstown location, among other things that're handled poorly at their Pottstown (Friendship Manor) site.

The staff is nice and supportive.

Cons

Upper Management treats staff poorly. Not allowed to take earned PTO. Unsanitary work conditions.

Pros

New management and increased expectations of all involved. Incredible middle managers as well and the agency truly wants to do what is right for all employees.

Cons

Currently undergoing a lot of changes but the changes are moving the agency in the right direction.
