Pros

When I started at CareStar in 2011 I loved my job. As a Case Manager I got to work from a home office and have a flexible schedule.

Cons

The work overload, unrealistic expectations of management, and non-caring attitude have become too much. It is not worth jeprodizing my nursing license to continue working there.

Pros

Working from home and having a flexible schedule are a plus. I set my own schedule and if I need to go to a personal appointment I just work around it. My supervisor is very good and available almost all of the time for questions or problems. Salary is fairly good. There is no 'office politics' since you work independently from home. The company has an ESOP and 401K which they match. CEO is very ethical and seems to care about each employee.

Cons

Constant change but these changes come from Ohio Department of Medicaid with unrealistic expectations. The work load is heavy and I work a lot of evenings, weekends and some holidays just to catch up. Insurance is very poor. If you have small children this is not the job for you.

Pros

Get to work from home and somewhat set your own schedule. Salary is decent. Supervisors are understanding.

Cons

Workload is overwhelming. I spend a lot of my personal at-home time doing my job. The program requirements are overwhelming, and ever-changing, and the work itself is sometimes stressful. There is a lot of time spent driving around, sometimes in unfamiliar areas, as well as visiting individuals in unsafe areas and conditions.
