The Worst of WORST

Pros

Colleagues are nice. People (not management) are the best part in this company.

Cons

1. No strategy - The only strategy is to copy their competitor, whereas that competitor has invested more than 10 times more money and people. Then the management was proud that you would have all the opportunities - simply BS. 2. Micro-monitor – it is like kindergarten – schedule you with daily targets 3. Unrealistic targets - They micro monitor over everything, how many calls you make, how much time you spend 'in the system' - bear in mind, they can always blame you one way or another - either you didn't do enough sales, or you didn't work on production - and yet you have only 8 working hours - when you have to chase all the number in your account. Nevertheless, the numbers are coming from bosses' imagination without any statistics - they simply made up the number for you to achieve and so here comes the point 4. 4. Threatening vocally - Never work in a company they use threats to encourage you and bully you when they are in the bad mood. If you get called for a meeting at 6pm (which they do it very often), you are in trouble, because the boss probably wants to threaten you with his power or bully you because he is not in a good mood Piece of advice? Record it, and tell him that you will record the conversation - so that may stop him from saying really rude things or swearing at you - and you'd better be aware of those swearing words in French - since you will be hearing that very often. 5. Dated knowledge – they may tell you that they will provide trainings, which they will, but the trainings you will get are dated. You will not get a chance to go to those conferences, seminars where they tell you the latest information about the digital world. If you want to learn fast, spend your own money and your spare time. 6. Flexible working hour – yeah right, you can come at 9 and try to leave at 6pm everyday, and see if you will get one of those ‘meetings’. Of course, they will not say that you can’t, but then numbers and targets. So? Go in at 9:30. You need more? Go search people who used to work there and drop them an email to ask.. You will find out more.

Truly a bad company

Pros

The majority of colleagues are nice. Also, they are from different countries - you can really have a nice chat with them if you 'talk'. And nothing more to say, really. (Okay, maybe the thai stall nearby is not bad at all...)

Cons

First thing first: I am 99% sure that the last two positive reviews are written by management. They are probably aware of the poor ratings on Glassdoor and they try to mitigate the score. Anyway, So many (bad) things to talk about. 1. Overall - The company started in 2000 and nothing has changed ever since. No strategy, no plan, management lacks of communication skills and business acumen. The products are outdated, all the competitors are innovating and market is rapidly changing.. But they don't change a single thing and left behind. It is a ship sinking slowly, but they don't care and just think about the current (not eternal) earnings. 2. Working Environment - Be careful - It is not what you would expect in a digital company! The company culture "forces" people to stay until late and in silence (every body is kind of afraid of talking or leaving on time). 3. All the rest - (if you care about your 'Career') Sales targets (and other targets) are set randomly without any theory behind, and not taking into consideration any parameter such as quarter, market, product/service offered and so on. Commissions are advertised as unlimited, and they are - and they will use this to convince you to join the company while you, most likely are not going to realise 'the dream' ... The truth is that except 2/3 countries (already taken), there is really not much chance left for you to earn 'the dream they are selling you.' If you are a sales or marketing professional, if you like people.. Do not come to this company. You will waste time and energies for nothing. If you just moved to London and need a salary, you can try here instead of food chains like Starbucks, Costa or Cafe Nero.
