Pros
Its sort of okay for a start in the IT security industry. Lots of varied business types and industries are customers (amazingly) so you get to see a lot of different ideas and approaches to things. Plenty of vendor training (NB: this is also a negative). Some excellent people in the PS team.
Cons
A small minority of the senior sales team do appreciate the professional services team and what they do but the rest couldn't give a stuff. They will lie all day long to get the sale and especially about product functionality then leave it to the PS team to "clarify" what it actually can do then take all the flack as the AM ducks back into their hole in the ground. Do not expect any management back up when this happens. You are on your own unless you have absolute proof that the AM was talking a load of nonsense. On the subject of training there is lots of it available ..... but its only so that the sales team get a discount and therefore bigger margin. Expect to be put on "training" on a minutes notice on some random product, to then not use it for 8 months, then because you did the training some time you are now the absolute expert. Again no management back up on this one. Trust is a major issue as has been said in the other reviews. Even if told that you can WFH when not on PS in your interview do not believe it. If you can't respond to the skype in a sec you're obviously not doing work....apparently. Be prepared to have to fight, and lose most times, when it comes to expenses and bonuses. There is no fixed date for expense payments and they are used as a form of control when you're owed a lot and they are "delayed". The daily PS bonus is based on the customer feedback form and managements interpretation of it. Don't expect to get it basically. Again no management backup to fight your side of the cause. You will learn how to CYA at this place.
