Pros

Start-up environment with flexibility and opportunity to grow. Great HR policies and benefits for all employees, compensation, and entrepreneur type mindset for sales. When something does not work or if you have ideas for improvement with internal processes, your suggestions are passed to the right people and quickly implemented.

Cons

This is a start-up and that means everything is not going to be perfect. Do not expect for all systems to be working all the time and do not expect that you can work a 9-5 at Cargo Chief. It takes flexibility and hard work to be successful here.

Pros

I honestly don't understand the negativity in some of these reviews. From what I've seen in the year I've been with Cargo Chief is that they give people opportunities to prove they can do their jobs - in my case that's sales. The people who can't make sales are eventually let go (as they should!) but only after an almost annoying amount of hand holding and encouragement. And then they come on here calling the rest of us brown nosers... I guess if I sucked at my job I'd be able to relate a little better. Anyway, I personally like working for a start up. I like the idea of helping to build something from the ground up and having the opportunity to someday profit in a big way from that. Yeah I work hard to build the book of business I have which is really no different than any of the other logistics companies I've worked for. The difference I believe will come at the end once the start-up takes off - I would have never have gotten that opportunity and the massive corporations I worked for before. I also see a lot of gripes about management on here, and I haven't had an issue. Yeah they're probably a little more direct than some people can stomach in this PC world of ours, but I'd prefer to know if I was effing up instead of having some mousy manager call my into his office and fire me out of no where. Also, working from home is awesome as long as you can manage yourself.

Cons

1. Being a new company there are still some bugs in the system - but those have been slowly working themselves out. It's REALLY frustrating when it costs the trust of a customer that you've been working hard to get though. On the other hand, this is a tough industry and I certainly can't say I haven't had issues like this elsewhere. 2. Right now I feel that we still don't have the motivated and engaged staff we need. Many of the people who have come and gone have been the type who bounce from job to job looking for a free lunch - problem is sometimes they're hard to spot until it's too late. As we've grown a lot of those types have been weeded out and replaced with better "brown nosers" (aka people who actually care about their jobs). Eventually I think we'll get to a full staff of fun and motivated people to work with. 3. I'll be honest - the pay is a little low in my opinion. I don't have tons of years of experience or anything but still... Personally, I think this is why we get some of the people we get, who are probably just trying to get out of a job that they're about to be fired from instead of looking at this as an opportunity.

Pros

I have been working in logistics for the past 3 years. I started my career at one of the largest brokerages where I learned a lot about the business, but did not get compensated well. Here at Cargo Chief - we work hard, continue to innovate our business, and get compensated well for our accomplishments. Cargo Chief Management has been amazingly receptive to my ideas and suggestions to drive efficiencies in the company. I work on the operations/carrier sales part of the business and also sell a little bit to customers as well. If you have good work ethic and the determination to contribute to Cargo Chief's success, then you absolutely cannot go wrong here! You will love coming to work every day and get compensated for you hard work.

Cons

Policies are still being created about certain business functions, but everyone can input their ideas.
