I have been working at Caribou Coffee part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free shift drink, love talking to customers, love the relationship you build with regulars.
I love coffee and I love my job!
Mornings are obviously busier but you make more in tips, evenings are always more chill.

    Cons

Depending on the people that work there, there is some drama but this can happen anywhere.

    Advice to Management

It is best for management to start as a "team member", or an entry-level barista, because then the knowledge they gain from that experience is so much more enriched versus starting as an upper management level.

    Pros

Flexible hours, open early in the morning so you can start early and be done by 2, tips are decent, coworkers are friendly

    Cons

Always leave smelling like coffee, working in the late afternoon can be extremely slow and boring

I worked at Caribou Coffee full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Loved the team I had and the fast paced environment.

    Cons

Always an empty promise for promotions and pay that never happen.

    Advice to Management

I was a GM for 7 years and prior to the last 2 years they cared. In the last 2 years they care nothing about the GM's.

I worked at Caribou Coffee full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The job itself is fun. Great customers and good product. Discount and shift drink are nice bonuses. Benefits are ok.

    Cons

Working in management was awful. You were expected to be available 24 hours, even when on PTO. Managers running multiple stores with little to no help. Hourly pay, no overtime allowed, yet you had to stay is someone decided not to come in. Sick? Too bad, still have to come to work, even if you’re vomiting and have been to a doctor. Upper management puts a TON of pressure on GM’s, uses threats as motivation. Bring your issues to the attention of upper management, they’ll tell you what you want to hear, and then never follow through.

    Advice to Management

Stay away. Worst 3 years of my life were spent busting my behind for a company that did not care about their field teams.
