Pros

The Christmas bonus is good, and the fun days the ceo gives are always good as well...not much else as a positive.

Cons

Discrimination, favoritism for employees that are friends with the ceo. You are treated like a number and a child most if the time.

Pros

I guess if I have to say something. You can work from home for a day or too but they will watch your every move to find an excuse to take it away from you.

Cons

I could go on and on, but the two biggest cons are the favoritism and micromanagement. This company has no respect for the graphics department. The sales team is sloppy and rude, yet they are constantly praised and rewarded. Graphics works hard and is contantly lectured and rarely rewarded. You can tell just by looking at the reviews here, the ones that are good are mostly from salespeople. And they give you just a taste of the toxic environment that exists there: they bring up the bad reviews and dismiss them like they aren't true - the same as if you have any concern with something happening at work or want to express how you are feeling, HR will have zero empathy and tell you this company has so many great benefits and you are just wrong. I will let all the other countless negative HR reviews speak for the mess that is the HR department. Good designers were fired randomly for seemingly small things while salespeople and other favorite employees are being unprofessional and rude and actually not doing their jobs correctly but get to stay AND get better treatment. I just wanted to be a good employee and do my work and go home but that wasn't enough. It wasn't enough to get a raise, and it wasn't enough to keep me from getting lectured for things the entire company was also doing. I got a new job and within the first day of that new job I realized nothing of what they do is normal or correct. Your HR department is not supposed to make you feel like dirt. Most companies do not shove how great they THINK they are down your throat all the time. Web designers out there: look elsewhere.

Pros

There give you treats everyday, often have pizza parties and let you leave early on Fridays sometimes.

Cons

I only worked at carsforsale for a short time and even though it seemed like a great place to work at first, it was soon apparent that it really was too good to be true. People do commonly say how wonderful it is to work there and how the CEO is such a good christian man. Yes, he provides bible study, pizza parties and lets you leave early on fridays. However if you look closely you will see that he is not what he seems. the first thing i noticed was that he shows up with a brand new high end vehicle about once a month if not more. He will bring his new car to the office to show off while only giving his employees a 5% raise at best. There is definite preferential treatment and obvious favorites. The CEO has been known to drink on the job and is no stranger to sexual harassment. He treats people like they are disposable. He makes it clear that in his eyes everyone is replaceable and only has loyalty to himself. He even sometimes flaunts his financial worth and threatening to sell the company because "his future is set ". I have heard from many that those who have been there the longest are treated the worst. If someone has the privilege of being let go face to face, the CEO will send someone else to do it. If he has to give the bad news, it is sometimes done by email or even text message. The HR person has a very short fuse, its quickly learned that you have to walk around on egg shells around her. The rumors, gossip and back stabbing are worse than junior high. Management is more concerned about their own well being than anything else. The IT staff are the only department worth anything and yet they are treated horribly. The Customer service used to be good but now it seems they will hire just about anyone so they can pay them poorly and then let them be treated like dirt by the rest of the company. The sales people are allowed to ll do anything they want and will take you down with them if things dont go their way. Bottom line is, the only way you will be successful at Carsforsale.com is to lie, cheat, steal and be open to sexual promiscuity.
