Pros

Some great people have worked there but don’t stay long

Cons

Bad management, directors speak to staff like dirt, no respect given to staff, happy to lose good staff instead of sorting out the issues and reasons no good staff stay. The more you do the less is thought of you. Drive staff and there confidence into the group

Pros

1. There are a lot of technically skilled staff across the company. Some of the Tier 2 Engineers are as skilled and do the kind of work that Level 3 engineers at other companies do. 2. The quick payment of expenses and the pre-booking of lots of hotels and travel. You often only have to request and it's sorted within a couple of hours (thanks to finance).

Cons

1. Terrible drinking culture, they seem to think nights out are a way to improve morale. It's awful for those who don't drink and actually don't have any interest in socialising with colleagues. My colleagues are that, work colleagues, they are not my friends. You're often made to feed really bad when you find a reason to not show up. 2. Some people are extremely selfish, they will lie to try and get into senior management's good books. Unfortunately for them it won't lead to much because the climb up the ladder is not big in a <150 staff company. 3. The type of projects, now I wasn't involved in a classified project, but I know people who were and they hated it because it meant they were some away from home for weeks on end. One guy was in mainland UK for over a month and only came home for the weekends. They never tell you this when you sign up. 4. The company's motto in company updates is "we're all one big family" but in reality it's nothing like that at all. The main departments are managed services (the support engineers), sales (management fall here) and IT consultancy. These 3 departments are so far apart and they are not allowed to so much as communicate with each other. The big happy family they tell you about does NOT exist. I have worked at a ton of places where you're all in it together, not at Cased Dimensions. 5. Everyone is always busy, I spoke to my line manager on average twice a month and even then it was only about thing like annual leave. Senior management never have any time for anyone. 6. The MDs are not good at leadership and the primary reason is their disgraceful Jekyll and Hyde behaviour. I once witnessed management go off into a tirade which included abuse and swearing. 30 mins later they would speak to the person on the receiving end like nothing had happened. Fortunately for them they never did it with me. How can anyone at any level consider shouting and swearing a constructive form of leadership? 7. Staff turnover, it's like a revolving door. During my time I witnessed just as many people leaving as those joining. The new guys had no idea just how bad it was. I saw 1 person come for a day and they never showed up again, needless to say they haven't put the company on their LinkedIn profile. I hated it during my time at the company, from about 2 days in I was regretting leaving my old job, but I suppose we all make this mistake at some point in our lives.

Pros

its a job - End of, anyone that gets a better offer is out ASAP.

Cons

All sweetness and light, until there is a problem, there is a huge blame culture and unless you are management or higher you are very much only a number. High staff turn over. low staff moral and toxic workplace at times.
